Annabelle opened a can of Frisky and it was a mere second after the pop of the lid that Callum, her black cat came running in, tiny bell jingling announcing his arrival. “Here you go darling,” she cooed while stroking his back. Callum looked up at her with his vibrant green eyes, and let out a purr to tell her he was pleased. With one last pat on his back, Annabelle turned her attention to the task at hand. A rather large pumpkin rested on her wooden kitchen table with several perfectly sharpened carving accoutrements next to it. “Now,” she spoke to the pumpkin while rubbing her hands together, “what mischief shall we get up to this year?”
